Stella and Chewy Dog Food
While you’re shopping at Chewy, add a bag of Stella and Chewy’s Freeze-Dried Raw Dog Food Toppers by Stella and Chew Dog Food! We always have 2-3 Nuggets on top of our fresh (frozen) meal to provide additional nutrients. We also buy Stella and Chewy’s Freeze Dried Beef Heart Treats and eat a couple per week for extra nutrients. Sometimes Mom slices them up into smaller pieces for treats and training treats! YUM!
Best Natural Food For Dogs
Mom randomly adds organic human food toppers from the fridge and freezer such as lettuce, cilantro, boiled eggs, blueberries, mushrooms…which are healthy for pups too! Be sure to check out our blog for more ideas!

Darwins Dog Food
Darwins is a Fresh, Frozen, Raw Human Grade Dog Food. Darwin’s Raw Dog Food arrives frozen. We prefer it lightly cooked. (Mom’s trying to figure out how to use our instant pot to cook our Darwin’s to a “rare” or super lightly cooked consistency. We’re reading SouVide is the best way to lightly cook raw pet food. If you’re an instant pot guru and know a great way to do this, please send us your suggestions)!

More Freeze Dried Raw Dog Food Topper (Not Available on Chewy)
Small Batch Freeze Dried Dog Food Toppers
We WUV this brand! It’s only available in select pet stores across the US. You can check their map to see if a pet store near you carries (or request them to)! We also buy their Freeze Dried Chicken Hearts. Us Pups get a two to three per week. Lovey doesn’t like them but we WUV them! Mom says Freeze Dried are much better than dealing with the raw ones (she’s vegetarian)!
Fresh Food for Cats!
We cannot leave our kitty family out! They need variety and rotation of food for proper nutrients too! We recommend you find 2-3 brands and multiple “recipes” within each brand if possible and rotate them. The experts we follow don’t advise that cats eat much fish…mercury, etc. While Just Food For Dogs has Cat food, it’s half fish so we don’t serve it here at the furSmiths.
Darwin’s has Frozen, Raw, Fresh Food for Cats! You can serve raw or lightly cook.
Our primary Fresh Frozen Cat Food is from our local, Healthy Pets Kitchen (available in OC CA only). We rotate it with Darwins and Open Farm Chicken Wet Cat Food (available online and at select pet stores only). Lovey also occasionally eats Stella and Chewy’s small boxed cat food (at pet stores only).
