Central California

The Central California  Coast and Surrounding Area is Wonderfully Dog Friendly if you know what to do. Mom and I LOVE so many Dog Friendly places in Central California!  It’s close enough from So Cal for a day drive and far enough to feel like vacation!

When to Go:

Since it’s too cold and snowy to go to the Eastern Sierras,  our favorite times to visit the Central Coast (ish) area is in the “Winter” months (December through April) before “tourist” season begins in the Summer 🙂

Where to Go: (Where we’ve vacationed so far)

1.  Santa Barbara: Air BnB’ing at Caza de Coco

2.  San Luis Obispo:  RV Camping in Montana de Oro

3.  Paso Robles: Dog-Friendly Wine tasting

On Our List:

Big Sur Campground & Cabins

Solvang

(Try to include in your Paso Robles or Montana de Oro  trip since it’s enroute via the 101 Highway)

Avila Beach

(Try to include in your Paso Robles or Montana de Oro trip since it’s enroute via the 101 Highway

Carmel

(Mom says it’s almost the DOG FRIENDLY CAPITAL of California.  It’s also the furthest away from us).  She says it’s beautiful with lots of city strolling and dining so, it’s on my list for sure!

Wow!!! There are so many more fun vacations to look forward to with my Mom!  We’ll need fit them in between our Eastern Sierras vacations!
