Scooby’s Slow Cooker Stew Dog Food Recipe

Hi Fwiend! We hope you WUV our Stew Recipe! Since creating this recipe Mom has learned that you retain more nutrients for your dogs if you lightly cook “Sous Vide” style. This serves your pup healthier food! We have since purchased and Instant Pot but have not attempted this recipe with the Sous Vide setting. You will find a similar “human” recipe on the Instant Pot website and the instructions should work for our recipe! Let us know if you prepare Scooby’s Stew, Sous Vide style!

  1. THANK YOU FOR THE RECIPE FOR SCOOBY’S ORGANIC STEW FOR DOGS!
I have a question: How much do I feed my dogs? Do I portion them out about the same amount as their dog food?
Is there a chart I can use to figure out their portion according to the weight and breed?
Thank you so much! Your web site is AMAZING!

    1. Hi! Well, for Scooby we were trying to keep his weight up so I did the same proportion sizes. I recommend you show your vet the recipes. I also recommend adding Nupro Powder with Glucosamine in the food (but again consult your vet). Another good idea is Just Food For Dogs pulishes recipes and you add their supplement to the recipe you prepare. They list the portion size per size of dog so this will give you a good idea once you start making up your own recipes :). Protein, Veggies, Grain (if large dogs) and supplements worked for us! Keep us posted!
