Scooby Keepin Cool at Dana Point Harbor

Welcome to our heat wave and hot summer week in  Dana Point!  Yes, it’s great for the family to hang out at the beach and play in the ocean but for us 4 leg kids, it’s pretty much too hot for us to be out after 9am!  But I’m going let you know about the 2 awesome places Mom and I went Saturday and Sunday around 6:30(ish) a.m. so we could get some great exercise while beating the heat!

1.  Dana Island (across the bridge at Dana Point Harbor.  If you do the full cirlce around the jetty and near the boats, it’s about a 4 mile walk!   Plus, there are water fountains every few yards!  Check it out:

2.  Treasure Island Beach at the Montage Resort, Laguna Beach.  This is a beautiful park with amazing views, grass, trees, flowers and water fountains!  Dogs are allowed on the beach until 9am in the summer and after 5pm at night.  These are the only times it’s bearable for us pups to go anyway so it’s win/win!  It’s been so hot here that today I just had to get my toes in  the ocean!
