Summer also means Scooby health-check around my house! Every year Mom takes me to visit my friend and vet, Dr. Buehler at VCA Arroyo for my Senior check – lab work, X-rays, toothy check, vaccination titers and updates, etc. Boy, that’s a lot!
This year Dr. B said I looked great and I’m down to a svelte 68 lbs – no wonder all the girl dogs have been checking me out! I had dental cleaning under anesthesia which Mom doesn’t prefer, but my teeth were so bad when she found me that we have to do some deep gum cleaning every couple of years.
Dr. Buehler is so nice and is always so excited to see me so, it ALMOST makes all this worth it! One of my lab numbers was a little off so Mom and Dr. B are going to check into that a little further but overall, my labs got a grade A! Not bad for a 12 year old puppy! Woof!
And just in case I wasn’t having enough fun, Mom said I realllllly needed a bath after our Mountain adventure. So, on our way back from VCA, Mom found John Paul Pet Salon in Laguna Niguel. Yes, it’s THAT John Paul! He owns this 2 store chain in South OC. I got an Oatmeal bath for my sensitive skin – us Weims need gentle suds. We went on a slow day so I was in and out in an hour while Mom waited. She was happy about that!
Well, I’m super drowsy from all my vet tests. So happy I have my super comfy doggy couch so I can relax with my toys!
