Here we go! It’s time to plan your Leaf Peepin! Fall Foliage is around the corner and Mom and I love going to the Eastern Sierras for one last trip in October each year before the winter snow sets in. This year we are heading to Convict Lake! Warm, sunny days, chilly / cold nights, a warm fireplace, beautiful Fall colors and maybe a little snow! You heard me right, snow in October!
I can’t promise snow for you in October but, on my first trip to Tamarack Lodge at Twin Lakes in Mammoth, it snowed on our first day in early October! Whoopee! Be sure you and your people take layers, scarfs and hats! I wore my fleece coat every morning and evening. It was pretty Brrrrr! Mom even bought me boots (but I wasn’t into them that year). Maybe I’ll try them out this year!
A cool cabin, a big lake, beautiful day walks and a relaxing getaway. Now, that’s what I’m talking about! It’s not too late to YOUR Fall Leaf Peepin’ vaca either! Just check out Mono County’s website to see what looks awesome to you! I also highly recommend Parcher’s Resort in Bishop Creek which is open through mid-October. Rock Creek Lodge should be open as well. I WUV both of those cabin resorts as well! I can’t wait to post our new Fall Foliage pics! In the meantime, I hope you love our previous slideshow!
XOXO,
