It’s taken all year and lots of heart but Scooby’s first Scoobylife product is out and available to purchase! You may remember why a collapsible dog bowl is synonymous with Scooby, but in case you didn’t read the story at the beginning of Scooby’s social media journey, the first outing after Scooby and I adopted each other was a near disaster!
Scooby joined the Smith fur family in the hot month of July. It never dawned on me that Scooby, at almost 80 lbs, had not spent much time outdoors. My first Weim daughter, Sable, loved being outdoors and drank water from water bottles, cups, my hand, water fountains, sports bottle sippy tops, you name it. So the next day after Scooby came home I decided to take him to one of the prettiest beaches after work which also was a hilly walk. I thought we’d get a little exercise to boot. Did I mention it was summer?! It’s still quite warm after work and he’s panting and I offer him some water out of my bottle and he just looks at me and lets it run out. He didn’t know what to do. He wouldn’t drink from my hands either. He’d never had any of those experiences! He’s panting, the sun is still out and we’re halfway down a sandy hill and I’m thinking OMG, he’s going to die on our first adventure! So, we find some shade and I wait for him to cool down. We take our time slowly, walking up the hill, making frequent stops in whatever shade we could find and as soon as we get to the car I knew I had to get him to a bowl of water! We ended up at the pet store where I found a small collapsible bowl. Woosh!
After that incident Scooby and I never left the house without a dog bowl clipped to the leash and sometimes an extra in the car! The bowls were very small and not very durable and pretty much held only one big gulp of water for Scooby but, at least Scooby had a way to drink water when we were out. We were NEVER without a bowl! Throughout the years we would often run into other dogs during our local outings and vacation adventures who had the same issue so Scooby and I routinely let other doggies borrow his bowl and water bottle!
A Collapsible dog bowl is now Scooby’s first product for Scoobylife! Pretty appropriate I’d say! For Scooby and for many dogs, we learned that a travel water bowl is critical to have on every outing – no matter how big or small. Mom wants all Pups and Pawrents to be out there livin’ the Scoobylife and what better way to honor Scooby and share his Love for Adventure than a world of Fwiends clipping on Scooby’s Adventure Bowl?!

The first 11 have hit the shelf and the rest are in transit!
