Our Next Dog-friendly Cabin Vacation is June Lake!

Flood Warnings from Snow Melt at Double Eagle Resort, June Lake

June Lake, Here we come!  Woof Woof!

Mom scheduled our next Eastern Sierras dog-friendly getaway at Double Eagle Resort in June Lake and BOY! am I excited! June Lake has also been called “The Switzerland of California”.  Say What???  OMG!  This trip sounds so pawsome!! I LOVVVVVVE our cabin vacations!  Just me and mom 24/7, pretty walks, chillin’ on the porch, cold mornings in our jammies eating breakfast.  Man, oh man, oh man!  Mom is also super happy that there’s a spa on the premises.  I know I love my doggie-ssages she gives me every night at bedtime so, I’m sure she’s really going to like that!  Our cabin has a view of Reversed Creek (yes, you are correct, a creek that runs in reverse)!  Apparently only 2 cabins have that view.   Mom has learned to ask all the right questions and voila!  We’re in!  They’ve had soooooo much snow in the Eastern Sierras this winter so it should be amazing this Summer!  If you have dog-friendly “do not miss this” suggestions, please drop me a line.  We’ll be planning a few things nearby.  So far we are thinking:

  1. Checking out Silver Lake – Silver Lake Resort is not dog friendly but they have webcams that are cool!  Lot’s of snow right now!
  2. Possible Sunset Photo Outing to Mono Lake
  3. Bodie Ghost Town?  It’s about an hour so not so sure about that – sounds spooky!
  4. Mammoth Brewery.  Don’t ask me but Mom loves that beer stuff!  AND they have a dog-friendly patio! We’re there!
  5. Light hikes – Parker Lake Trail?  Mom is getting up there – BOL 🙂
  6. Relaxing!  I like to lay by a lake while Mom reads a book. There may still be snow in late May so, we may be lounging next to a fireplace instead.  My brother, Zachy is going to be BUMMED! That’s his favorite pastime!

XOXO,
