How To Help Animals during Quarantine

Scooby Lounging at North Lake, Bishop, CA

Even though it may be feeling like Friday every day lately, it’s officially Scooby’s Favowite Day! DA WEEKEND! Have you always wanted a dog (cat, bird, rabbit, turtle…) but wasn’t sure if you were ready? Well, there’s no better time than now! Talk about an adventure! How about adding a new pet kid to your home?!

There are many ways to help pets!. Recently we’ve seen amazing reports of shelters being emptied because Pawsome people adopted them all!  Unfortunately, this is not the norm. So many Shelters and Rescues are in need for foster families, adopters, food, litter, potty pads, toys and blankets due to the social distancing restrictions around the world.  Pets are lonely

shelters with very little human interaction or even vet care and need someone to love them now!  If they are lucky, some pets have been rescued by caring volunteers and are in homes with other rescue pets but really need a home and some one on one attention to help them thrive in their new life – until they find their furever home! Remember…Senior, Special Needs (sick or very elderly) and bonded pair pets from previous homes are the most overlooked at shelters.  Please give them extra consideration!
