Where Can I Adopt a Dog Near Me?
Adopt a Dog from a Local Animal Shelter! Heck, Adopt Two!
There are sooooo many places where you can adopt dogs (and cats)! First, call your local shelter. Be sure to find out if they euthanize dogs and if so, please RUSH there to find and SAVE your furever fur kid. Here are some ideas to help the pets most in need:
Ask who is the Most Un-adoptable Dog (or pet)
Reasons very due to age, appearance, health, etc. Ask to meet them!
Ask to meet their Senior Dogs (or pets)!
Scooby was an 8 year old Senior Dog Rescue when he adopted Mom!
Ask to meet Pets Found or Relinquished Together (aka Bonded Pairs or Bonded Families).
Often Dogs and Cats who are extremely bonded are separated at shelters in efforts to helped them get adopted faster but this extremely traumatizing for these dogs and cats. Ask who came in together and adopt them together! You will have an instant fur family!
