Woohoo! Mom is off on a Monday! That means…….OUTINGS! It’s a tad overcast in the mornings in Dana Point but we actually like it better that way. Less sun means less panting and hot for me. Mom always carries water for me, though. We went to Salt Creek Saturday and it was so pretty! Lots of families setting up picnics & bbq’s, mmmm, and the beach was like a painting! Don’t you agree?
If you’re heading to Salt Creek Beach, remember that dogs aren’t allowed on the actual “beach” (sand) but there are so many areas on the grass above and right next to the beach on the very north and very south ends.
Don’t forget to take umbrellas because the sun will come out and it’s still hot this week. There are water fountains positioned throughout the park and the concession stand is still open! The egg, cheese and hash brown burrito is to die for. Yum, yum, yum. It’s big enough to share! Mom lets me have a little and it’s DE-lish!
There’s also lots of room at the park in Doheny and at Treasure Island Park behind the Montage in Laguna for pups and their parents. Food and water is near too! We’re also heading to Niguel Botanical Preserve this Holiday to check out the birds and flowers. Then, we’re dining alfresco (fancy for dogs are welcome on the patios)!
If you and your fur-parents want to dine-out for breakfast, lunch or dinner near or in Dana Point, here are some of our dog-friendly favs:
