Nuttin’ says SUMMER!! for me and Mom like the Eastern Sierras! While it’s blazin’ hot in So. Cal, just head up the 395 highway towards Mammoth, hang a left somewhere between Independence and Mammoth, head up the mountains about 7 – 10,000 feet and voila! Cool temps, sunny days, lakes, streams, wildflowers, fishin’…….this must be heaven! Woof!!!
This Summer we are going in June – even though it’s not so hot at home because Mom says we are going for the longest day of the year! Yay! We are trying Rock Creek Lodge in Rock Creek Lake and of course, they are dog friendly! Just what we like! I can’t wait to go lay on the edge of the lake, dippin’ my toes in the water, wading in the streams, nappin’ in my hat and me and Mom just hanging out. No kitties allowed! She likes to read books and take pics. My photography assistant skills are improving. I’m not scaring off all her birdie subjects as much anymore and she has a longer zoom – taa daa 🙂
We’ll be sure to post lots of pics if we get wifi. Oh man, I gotta start packin’. Where’s my blankie, should I bring Froggie or Chicken? Mommmmmm, where’s my fishin’ pole and vest?
