Eastern Sierra is Open! Fall Colors 2020 are still a GO!

Scooby Leaf Peepin’ Eastern Sierra Fall Colors at Lundy Lake 2019

Just before we were all set to go on our Dog-Friendly PawCation for Fall Colors in the Eastern Sierra the US Forrest Service Cancelled all

reservations and shut down the majority of the recreation areas to keep the area safe from more potential fires. The air quality wasn’t great either. Then, right after Mom made reservations in Flagstaff the Eastern Sierra was opened back up for reservations and some limited recreation!

Last week the air quality in the Eastern Sierra slowy went back into the “Good” zones and according to the airnow.gov which is a great resource to get an overview before planning your trip.

Mono County has also added fire and smoke information to their website which is also helpful!

Add in the Mono County Fall Color guide and you have everything you need to plan your Easter Sierra Leaf Peepin’ Pawventure! But hurry, the winds move in and the temps drop in mid-October and the colors literally blow away so GO NOW if you can!

Our Fwiends at Parcher’s Resort had a few cabins left so if you’re lucky you can grab one! In fact, here’s their color report 3 days ago!

If you want to be in Mammoth, Tamarack Lodge is our fav because it’s right on Twin Lakes! Check out our recommendations here.

Be sure to send us pics and tag us so we can see your Fall Colors!
