Dog-Friendly Aspen Late Spring & Early Summer

Scooby & Lexi Road Trippin’

5 years ago today Scooby and I were wrapping up our longest dog-friendly road trip to dog-friendly Aspen! It was a 900+ mile (each way), long, beautiful haul with one stop in Utah in a teeny, almost abandoned town. The best way to experience this road trip is to make 1 -2 well planned overnight trips in Utah near some of the amazing National Parks so you can stop, picnic, take in the scenery and enjoy a relaxing evening in or near nature with your pup. The scenery in Utah is absolutely stunning near and through several National Forests (with very little cell signal so be well stocked with pup and human lunch, snacks and water)! This was Scooby’s 3rd doggy road trip within the first year that he adopted me and he had an amazing time! Once we arrived, Scooby’s friend Lexi showed him the best of dog-friendly Aspen! There are so many dog-friendly walks and hikes in Aspen ranging from flat strolls along rushing rivers and streams to long, slightly strenuous hikes to Maroon Bells. If you fancy a big road trip and have a super dependable car, Aspen is a great dog-friendly destination that Scooby and I thoroughly enjoyed! If you want the very similar and beautiful scenery in California (with half miles), check out the many destinations along Scooby’s Eastern Sierra Map! Happy Adventures!
