Although the “beach” itself is not dog-friendly, the rest of this expansive park is – including the yummy beach cafe! Park your cars inside the State Park or in the less expensive parking meters just beyond the entrance to Doheny. You can walk next to the sand and take the path across to the State Campground and down to the end of the most Southern campground! It’s pretty hot on the asphalt so I recommend mornings and late afternoons (the sunsets are magnificent)!
