Mom and I visit such beautiful places that I thought adding videos would help me share some of the magic! It’s just like you’re here with me! Woof! Weekends mean fresh air, exercise and being “one” with nature. Today’s outing is where my blog home page pic was where my blog home page pic was taken. I love Salt Creek Beach Park! It’s never too crowded in the mornings for walking – even in the Summer. It tends to warm up by noon so mornings or late afternoons are best for pups.
Salt Creek Park is my Favorite “Home” Beach!
The actual “beaches” in Dana Point are not dog-friendly but surrounding sidewalks and parks are and they are AWESOME ! Ocean views, paths, breezes, picnickers, surfers…..everyone loves Salt Creek Park! As an added bonus, there are water fountains (and bathrooms for your humans) at all Dana Point Ocean parks so, you can always get a quick drink to cool down. There’s even a concession stand at Salt Creek Park during the Summer and Fall and they make the BEST breakfast burritos with a hash brown in the center. YUM!
If you want some glam, The Ritz Carlton and Monarch Beach Resort are adjacent and they are dog-friendly so, you can take a bonus adventure! To make the most of your outing, I recommend you pack a picnic breakfast, lunch or dinner for sunset, doggy snacks, a blanket, low chair and a book and enjoy a couple of hours relaxing in the calming, beach air! You with thank me for the peace that washes over you!
